The decision
Which +2 faculty to choose after SEE, and whether to study in Nepal or India afterwards.
- “He got a high GPA in SEE, so everyone says Science. What if Management fits him better?”
- “Should she prepare for MBBS entrance in Nepal or for NEET in India?”
- “Is a degree from India worth the cost compared with Tribhuvan or Kathmandu University?”
School systems, and where the assessment fits
- SEE and the +2 faculties
- The five streams the report ranks match Nepal’s +2 faculties closely, with Management reading as Commerce. What each one closes off is the part to read twice.
- A-levels and CBSE in Nepal
- Students at A-level colleges or CBSE-affiliated schools in Kathmandu can use the ranking to choose subjects.
From Nepal to a college in India
- NEET-UG and JEE Main have both had exam centres in Kathmandu in recent years.
- Nepali nationals apply to NITs and centrally funded institutes as foreign nationals; check DASA’s current brochure for the rules that apply to them.
- The Embassy of India in Kathmandu runs scholarship schemes for Nepali students in India; its website lists the current ones.
Staying in Nepal, or going elsewhere
- Engineering at Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Engineering is by its entrance examination.
- MBBS and other medical places in Nepal are allocated through the Medical Education Commission’s common entrance examination.

What the report covers from here
For a student in Nepal the stream ranking reads almost directly onto the +2 faculties, and the Indian colleges, exams and costs in the report are the India option many families are weighing. It does not cover Nepali universities.
Prices when paying from Nepal
Prices are in Indian rupees. Nepali cards need to be enabled for international online payment; many families find it easier to have someone in India open the report link and pay by UPI.
