Why none of these is a free version of the test
Most sites offer a short quiz that hands back a personality type and a shortlist. We do not, and the reason is not commercial. A reportable interest scale needs enough questions to be reliable, a reference group to compare against, and checks on whether the answers can be trusted at all — which is why the assessment runs to 160 questions and publishes no score it cannot stand behind. A twelve-question quiz producing a three-letter code would be guessing in a confident voice.
So these tools filter and compare rather than measure. Where one asks what appeals to you, it takes your word for it — which is a different thing from finding out, and it is exactly where most people are wrong about themselves.
