Who this is for in Bangladesh
This page is written for Bangladeshi students and their parents, and for the Indian families who live and work in Dhaka and Chattogram. India is the nearest study-abroad destination from Bangladesh, and Bangladeshi students are one of the largest groups of foreign students on Indian campuses, in medicine, engineering, pharmacy and business.

The decision
Which HSC group to join after SSC, and whether the degree after it should be in Bangladesh or across the border.
- “She has GPA 5, so the whole family assumes Science. Would Business Studies suit her more?”
- “If he does not get a seat at a public university, is a degree in India better value than a private one in Dhaka?”
- “He talks about medicine because his cousin is a doctor. Is that his own interest?”
School systems, and where the assessment fits
- SSC to HSC
- The report ranks five streams. Science with Mathematics and Science with Biology both sit inside the HSC Science group, Commerce is Business Studies, and Arts is Humanities, so the ranking can be read straight onto the college admission form.
- English-medium schools
- Students sitting Cambridge or Edexcel O-levels in Dhaka choose A-level subjects where their classmates choose an HSC group. The ranking and the career matches are a check on that subject combination.
- Madrasah and technical boards
- A student taking Dakhil or an SSC vocational course is choosing between the same broad directions. The profile and the career matches apply; the stream names will need a little translation.
Studying in Bangladesh, or elsewhere
- Public universities in Bangladesh admit through their own admission tests, several of them now grouped into cluster tests, and each unit accepts only certain HSC groups.
- Government and private medical colleges fill their seats through one national MBBS admission test.
- Private universities in Dhaka and Chattogram admit on SSC and HSC results with their own entry tests, at a much higher fee.
If India is one of your options
- The Indian High Commission in Dhaka announces ICCR scholarships for Bangladeshi students every year, covering undergraduate and postgraduate study.
- Self-financed students apply to Indian universities directly or through the Study in India portal, which lists the seats open to foreign nationals.
- An MBBS seat in India is allotted on a NEET-UG score. Dhaka has not been on the recent NTA list of overseas exam cities, so plan the travel to a centre in India when you register.
- Engineering at an NIT is through DASA, on a JEE Main rank.
What you get, wherever you study
You do not need to be planning on an Indian college to use this. The assessment looks at you, not at a syllabus or a country: what interests you, how you work, how you reason, and which careers and fields of study fit that. It is open to students of any nationality, and they use it to choose subjects and a direction for study in Bangladesh or anywhere else.
A student in Bangladesh receives the same interest, personality and reasoning profile as a student in Kolkata, and the same career matches. The colleges, entrance exams, fees and salary figures behind those matches are Indian. That is useful if India is on your list, and it is not a guide to Dhaka University units or to BUET.
Prices when paying from Bangladesh
The price is set in Indian rupees. A Bangladeshi dual-currency card that has been endorsed for international use can pay it online; where that is not possible, a friend or relative in India can open the report link and pay by UPI.

Questions from families in Bangladesh
- Which assessment should a student take just after SSC?
- The Class 8–10 assessment. It was built for the stream decision at the end of Class 10, which is the HSC group decision in Bangladesh. Sit it before the college admission form is filled in.
- Is the assessment available in Bangla?
- Not at present. The questions and the report are in English, written plainly enough for a student who studies in English version or English medium.
- Will the report tell me which Bangladeshi university to apply to?
- It will not. It tells you which careers and fields fit you and how Indian colleges reach them. Use the field it points to when you choose a unit or a subject at home.
For schools. Colleges and English-medium schools in Dhaka and Chattogram can register free and read five complete reports before sharing a single link with their SSC candidates.
