School systems, and where the assessment fits
- Year 10 subject selection
- The Class 8–10 report ranks five subject streams. Read it as a map for Year 11 and 12 subject choice rather than as Indian streams.

- The Class 11–12 report’s career matches and fit arithmetic are the part that helps with university preferences; its course and exam details are Indian.
Studying in Australia, or elsewhere
- University offers are made through state admissions centres: UAC in New South Wales and the ACT, VTAC in Victoria, QTAC in Queensland, TISC in Western Australia and SATAC in South Australia.
- Medicine usually also requires the UCAT ANZ, and many courses list prerequisite subjects.
- TAFE and VET pathways lead into work and, for some courses, into university.
If India is one of your options
- OCI cardholders are eligible for NRI or OCI seats at many Indian universities, and for DASA at NITs and centrally funded institutes.
- Indian entrance examinations such as NEET-UG are rarely held in Australia, so check exam cities early if studying in India is a real option.
What you get, wherever you study
You do not need to be planning on an Indian college to use this. The assessment looks at you, not at a syllabus or a country: what interests you, how you work, how you reason, and which careers and fields of study fit that. It is open to students of any nationality, and they use it to choose subjects and a direction for study in Australia or anywhere else.
An Indian-Australian student gets a profile and career matches that apply in Australia as much as anywhere. The Indian colleges, entrance exams and salary bands in the report are not a guide to Australian courses or pay, and the page says so plainly.

- No. It measures interests, personality and reasoning and matches careers. Subject scaling and prerequisites come from your state admissions centre.
- Which assessment should a Year 10 student take?
- The Class 8–10 assessment, taken in Year 9 or 10 before senior subjects are locked in.
